My name is Carl Bresk and I use my own personal experience as well as my thirty-years-plus of knowledge gained by training people of all ages (8-85) and levels of fitness (kids to nationally ranked athletes) to help you live your life with greater ease of movement and move around your world with greater confidence – and avoid injury while doing so.
You’ve all seen the overabundance of fitness books out there filled with people who get paid to be in shape. Most are well over a hundred pages long and many require time-consuming diaries or other tedious records to be kept. Which is great, if you’re into that. Those books are not meant for the regular gals and guys who don’t have the time, the money and/or the inclination to obsess with their bodies.
Keep It Moving! is simple fitness for the rest of us.
We all want to live long, healthy lives, right? We want to hike with our kids, run on the beach, ride a bike, etc. – and continue to do so when we’re all adults, right?
I recently had a minor procedure in the hospital and my nurse asked me which medications I was on. I thought for a second and said, “Um… I take vitamin B12?”. She literally dropped her jaw and asked, “That’s it?”. I thought I had answered incorrectly. She informed me that most people my age (I was fifty-four years old at the time) were on a cocktail of meds, sometimes over a dozen. And many of those people were much younger than me. I was shocked and amazed.
Folks, we have got to get off the meds. That’s not health. Establishing and maintaining a steady exercise plan is a great first step on that road.
This book is not about losing 30 pounds in 30 days or building the ultimate ripped bod. This is about living healthier so you can enjoy life and be fit – not obsessive.
Exercise is important, but what’s more important is enjoying it so you can enjoy life. It should be a part of life, not a separate entity.
In this book I teach you how to exercise safely, avoid injury, and recover from minor injuries. If you’re enjoying life, you’re gonna get injured (I’m referring to the muscle-pulls and ankle twists that come with an active lifestyle), but when you’re fit, the recovery is quicker and less painful.
Most importantly, you’ll learn how to maintain a fitness program that you tailor and that you enjoy – without having to spend a lot of money or time doing it.
